Introduction

Key Features of the Solution

STN6800-D16HE DCI WDM Platform:

• The core of the solution is Sino-Telecom’s STN6800-D16HE-I, a high-density WDM platform designed for Data Center Interconnect applications.

• This platform supports advanced modulation schemes, enabling the activation of two channels of 100G services, thereby achieving 200G service transmission.

Dispersion Compensation-Free Design:

• The STN6800-D16HE-I eliminates the need for dispersion compensation throughout the entire 330km line. This is achieved through advanced technologies, ensuring signal integrity and reducing the complexity of the network infrastructure.

Optical Amplifier Relay Point:

• To address the distance challenge, an optical amplifier relay point is strategically placed between sites A and B. This ensures signal strength and integrity, allowing for the seamless transmission of high-speed data over the extended distance.

DCI WDM Technology:

• The solution utilizes Sino-Telecom’s DCI WDM technology, providing a flexible and scalable architecture that meets the evolving needs of the banking industry.

STN6800-D16HE-I supports various service cards at the electrical layer, including a 400G service card (with 4x100G client-side interfaces and 1x400G line-side interface), a 200G service card (with 4x100G client-side interfaces and 2x200G line-side interface), and a 200G TMUX service card (with either 20x10G client-side interfaces and 1x200G line-side interface). At the optical layer, STN6800-D16HE-I offers functionality such as FOADM, ROADM, EDFA, OLP, and more.
