Shanghai, China – August 6, 2026 — The 69th Cybersecurity Technology Salon was successfully held at the Songjiang District Urban Business Reception Hall.
Hosted by the Office of the Cyberspace Administration of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the salon was co-organized by the Cyberspace Administration Office of the CPC Songjiang District Committee, the Network and Data Security Committee of the Shanghai Internet Industry Federation, Sino-Telecom Communication Technology Co., Ltd., Yuanjiang Shengbang Security Technology Group Co., Ltd., the School of Computer Science of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Under the theme “Space–Ground Integration, Security Foundation”, the event focused on the ecosystem development and security defense of low-orbit satellite internet.

The salon brought together forces from government, industry, academia, and research. Fu Lin of the Cybersecurity Division of the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration, Xu Yuan, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Songjiang District Committee and Director of the Songjiang District Cyberspace Affairs Office, and Xia Huizi, Deputy Director of the Songjiang District Cyberspace Affairs Office, attended the event. Officials from the General Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Shanghai Big Data Center, and relevant departments of the Songjiang District Science and Technology Commission were also present. Representatives of satellite internet companies in Songjiang District, cybersecurity industry partners, industrial research institutes, industry association experts, and university scholars gathered to discuss the high-quality development path of satellite internet.
Keynote Sharing
Wu Zhiyuan, CTO of Sino-Telecom, shared the development path of satellite optical communication technology and thoughts on ecosystem co-building, covering domestic and international standards progress, the industry chain landscape, and networking practices. Zheng Zhong, Senior Vice President of Yuanjiang Shengbang Security, analyzed the construction of security prevention and control systems in space–ground integration scenarios from the perspective of the new satellite internet ecosystem. Professor Li Gaoping of Shanghai University of Engineering Science shared practical applications of cryptographic technology and the building of security assurance systems, based on the full-lifecycle security threats of space-air-ground information systems. Professor Hua Cunqin of Shanghai Jiao Tong University outlined the evolution blueprint of satellite internet security from frontier directions such as zero-trust architecture and AI-driven proactive defense.

Experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the compound attack threats faced by space–ground links—including interference, forgery, and hijacking—as applications such as rapid networking of low-orbit satellite constellations and direct-to-phone satellite services move toward widespread adoption.
Satellite internet is a core pillar of China’s space-air-ground integrated information network. As the construction of China’s low-orbit satellite constellation accelerates at full speed, the synchronous development of security systems has become an inevitable requirement for high-quality industry growth. By pooling strength from industry, research, and regulatory authorities, this salon provided valuable practical experience and innovative directions for strengthening the space–ground integrated security defense line and improving the industrial ecosystem.

As one of the co-organizers, Sino-Telecom has been deeply engaged in optical communications and network security for two decades and has incorporated satellite internet industry development into its “Two Upward” core development strategy for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Leveraging its technology accumulation in terrestrial high-speed optical transmission, 5G DPI deep packet inspection, and network security governance, Sino-Telecom is actively participating in the formulation of satellite optical communication technology standards, advancing R&D of key technologies for inter-satellite high-speed laser communication equipment, and building a space-air-ground integrated all-domain anti-fraud security protection system.
