The 6th China Information and Communication Conference was held in Shanghai from November 29th to 30th, 2023, where Sino-Telecom was honored with the title of "Selected Enterprise in the Empowerment Program for Innovative Technology Companies."

The conference aimed to fully implement the crucial directives from General Secretary Xi Jinping, with a focus on accelerating 5G development and achieving high-level technological self-reliance. The theme was set as "Building a New 5G Ecosystem, Driving Innovation for a New Future." By promoting the high-quality development of the information and communication industry, fostering a deeper integration of digital technology with the real economy, and expediting the process of new industrialization, the conference drew the participation of numerous leaders, academicians, and industry experts. The total number of participants, both online and offline, exceeded 3.37 million, creating an atmosphere of eager anticipation.

Prominent figures such as Zhang Yunming, member of the Party Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhao Houlin, former Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, and Zhang Renhe, Vice President of Fudan University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the conference and delivered speeches. The event also featured the presentation of the China Institute of Communications' Science and Technology Awards, recognizing 79 achievements, including "Service Customization Network Architecture, Key Technologies, and Large-scale Applications."

Academicians Liu Yunjie, Yin Hao, Yu Shaohua, Zheng Zhiming, Zhang Ping, and Zhang Hongke, along with Gao Tongqing, member of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager of China Mobile Communications Group, and Huawei Fellow and Director of the Scientific Advisory Committee Xu Wenwei, each delivered keynote speeches at the conference.
The two-day event, with a focus on the theme of 5G network construction and application promotion, featured over 10 professional activities, including presentations on advanced technology and hot-topic technical sessions. These covered multiple dimensions, such as cutting-edge technology, industry applications, and ecosystems, providing in-depth analyses of information and communication technology, industry status, and trends.

As an exhibitor at the conference, Sino-Telecom adhered to the development philosophy of "Open Networks, Empowering the Future." The company showcased its research and development in optical networks, data communication products centered around "Open Networks," and high-performance traffic aggregation devices used in network security.

On the afternoon of November 30th, at 2:30 PM, the conference hosted the ceremony for the "2023 Empowerment Program for Innovative Technology Companies," where Sino-Telecom was proudly recognized as one of the 5 companies selected by the China Institute of Communications. This acknowledgment stems from the company's significant progress in the fields of network communication and network security.
