On August 23, 2024, at the 8th Future Network Development Conference held at the Shangqinhuai International Cultural Exchange Center in Nanjing, Sino-Telecom Technology Co., Inc. was honored with the Leading Scientific and Technological Achievement Award in Future Networks for its independently developed "High-Reliability, Large-Capacity, Open-Decoupling, New-Generation Metropolitan Wavelength Division Multiplexing System." The 8th Future Network Development Conference, an important event for the future industry, was hosted by the Nanjing Municipal People's Government and co-organized by Zijinshan Laboratory, the China Institute of Communications, and other units. The award-winning project from Sino-Telecom, the "High-Reliability, Large-Capacity, Open-Decoupling, New-Generation Metropolitan Wavelength Division Multiplexing System," is an innovative outcome that was developed over several years in response to the urgent needs for upgrading metropolitan network architectures, open interconnection of data centers, and efficient transmission of computing power for the "East Data West Computing" initiative. The system demonstrates strong technical support capabilities in the fields of metropolitan network transformation, data center interconnection, and edge computing, making a significant contribution to the advancement of future network technologies.
The highlights of the system include:
1. High Reliability: Advanced redundancy design and fault self-healing mechanisms ensure stable network operation even under extreme conditions.
